Our Mission
Our mission is to save as many homeless dogs and cats from the streets of Puerto Rico as possible! We do this by providing a network of rescuers on the island with the resources they need to be successful. We then transport our rescues to amazing adoptive families on the U.S. mainland so that they can have the happy lives they deserve.

“We just adopted our rescue two days ago and boy are we in love! But the experience with PRoud rescuers was amazing! The communication was extremely helpful and frequent. We always knew what the plan was. They even tried to get our fur baby to us sooner! Unfortunately it wasn’t possible but it was worth the wait! The adoption process was simple and they even home screened us (which some rescues don’t do). We would without a doubt recommend rescuing through them and will certainly use them when we are ready for our next sato!

“We got our perfect little Ruby from PRoud rescuers of PR. Just from filling out the application I knew that they really cared deeply about changing these animals lives. We brought Ruby home and about 3 hours later, she slipped her leash and ran away. We were so concerned and afraid to let PRoud rescuers know.... but doing so really proved the lengths they are willing to go for these pets. Andrea was [at] our house within minutes, helping us hang up and pass out flyers, walking around for hours on end in the pouring and cold rain. She put us in contact with dog trackers and dog trappers who we owe our ability to remain faithful to. Finally after about 36 hours, Ruby was found and Andrea was right by our side from start to finish. I would recommend using them to anyone I know they are amazing people doing wonderful, life [changing] work!!!!!”
